What you get for each video idea
Every run returns six concepts. Each one includes:
- A title for the new video
- A one-sentence hook for the first 15 seconds
- A thumbnail concept covering composition, text overlay and colors
- A one-sentence reason the idea could work, based on its packaging or the psychology behind it
How the AI builds the six ideas
Your topic goes to the AI together with up to 12 titles of the biggest outliers in your niche, the videos that got far more views than their channel usually does. It borrows what made those work, not their subjects, and is asked to vary the approach across the six: the same topic from a new angle, the idea moved to a different format, an escalation, a contrarian take, a beginner version and a behind-the-scenes look.
That's why a concrete seed and a niche give better results than a broad topic on its own. 'Cooking' leaves the AI guessing, while a specific angle in a chosen niche gives it real outliers to calibrate against. Inside the Vidfora app you can also start from any outlier video in the dataset, which passes along the channel and how far the video beat its typical views.
How to choose which idea to make
An idea is only worth filming if people want it and you can deliver the hook. Before you commit, search the idea's core phrase on YouTube to see what already exists and whether YouTube's search predictions suggest people are looking for it.
YouTube's help center points creators to two more places for this: the research insights in YouTube Analytics, which show what your audience and viewers are searching for, and the Audience tab, which shows other videos your audience watched. An idea that lines up with both is a safer bet than one that only sounds clever.
