How many hashtags should you use on YouTube?
YouTube's firm rule is about the upper end. If a video has more than 60 hashtags, YouTube ignores every hashtag on it, and over-tagging can get a video removed from your uploads or from search. Its help center also warns that the more hashtags you add, the less relevant they become for people searching.
There's no minimum. A few specific hashtags that describe the video are easier to manage than a long list, which is why this tool stops at 15 and lets you switch off any that don't belong. The 15 is this tool's own cap, not a YouTube rule.
Which hashtags show above your YouTube title?
