Audiences in Parenting are organized by stage rather than by subject. A viewer with a newborn and a viewer with a teenager share almost nothing and search completely different phrases, so a channel usually serves one stage and grows or shrinks as its audience ages out of it. That produces evergreen demand, since new parents arrive constantly, and a median built from years of accumulated search traffic. Outliers typically come from honesty: an unpopular opinion, a difficulty rarely admitted, a practical solution to a problem that exhausts everybody. Emotional videos travel, but the rows that keep earning are the ones answering a question at the moment it becomes urgent. Read this list for which stage each video addresses and how specific its problem is.

Open the free Outlier DatabaseHow the Parenting ranking is built
- Every Parenting video is scored against its own channel: its views divided by the median views of that channel's other mature long-form uploads. 4,366 videos from 87 channels are scored in this snapshot.
- A row reaches this table only when it clears four floors — a multiplier of at least 2x, uploaded within the past 365 days, at least 10,000 views, and a channel median of at least 1,000 views. 216 Parenting videos clear all four.
- At most 2 videos per channel appear, so one Parenting channel having a remarkable year cannot take the whole table.
- 23.1% of scored Parenting videos reach 2x or more, 7.8% reach 5x and 3.4% reach 10x — which is what a large multiplier is worth in this niche specifically.

Common questions
Why do videos about difficulties outperform advice?
Because they answer a question parents cannot easily ask anybody else. Advice is available everywhere, while an honest description of a hard stage is rare and instantly recognizable. It also carries the relief of not being alone, which is a stronger reason to click than another list of tips.
Does the audience really age out?
It does, and it is worth planning for. A channel built entirely around one stage loses viewers on a predictable schedule and has to keep recruiting from search. Channels that last either follow their audience forward or deliberately stay at one stage and optimize everything for discovery.
What can I take from this list if my children stay off camera?
A great deal. Many strong rows never show a child, because the subject is the parent's decision, the logistics or the emotional reality. Those videos also age better, since the advice stays useful while footage of a specific child becomes a permanent record they never agreed to.
