Delete your Vidfora account

Vidfora is published by Gopherlume LLC. This page covers the Vidfora website, the Vidfora app for Android, and the Vidfora Chrome extension.

You can delete your Vidfora account, and everything stored in it, whenever you like. You do not need to contact support and there is nothing to wait for.

Delete it yourself, in three steps

  1. 1Sign in to Vidfora and open your account page at app.vidfora.com/account.
  2. 2Scroll to "Delete account" at the bottom of the page, type DELETE in the box, and press "Delete my account".
  3. 3You are signed out straight away and the account is gone. There is no waiting period, and it cannot be undone.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@vidfora.com from the address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We handle these requests within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm the request from that same address before we act on it, so that nobody else can delete your account for you.

What is deleted

Deleting the account removes all of the following immediately and permanently:

  • Your profile: name, email address, and avatar.
  • Your sign-in links to Google and Microsoft. Deleting the account is what unlinks them.
  • Your boards and every video saved to them.
  • Your tracked channels and your channel workspaces.
  • Your scripts, their variants, and their full version history.
  • Your Coach threads, every message in them, and the memory Coach had built about your channel.
  • Your taste profile and the Radar picks you dismissed.
  • Your notifications and your notification and email preferences.
  • Your Thumbnail Studio designs, the images you uploaded to them, and your saved personas.
  • Your connected YouTube channel grant. We also revoke it with Google, so Vidfora immediately loses the read-only access you gave it.
  • Your paired devices and browser tokens. The Android app and any connected Chrome extension stop working at once.
  • Your AI usage ledger, your credit grants, and your plan history.
  • Your referral records, your promo code redemptions, and our log of the emails we sent you.

What is kept, and why

  • Payment records. Stripe, our payment processor, keeps invoices and payment records for the period the law requires of it. Those sit in Stripe's systems under Stripe's retention rules rather than ours, so deleting your Vidfora account does not remove them.
  • Server access logs. Our servers write request logs that include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. They roll off within 30 days and are not tied back to a deleted account.
  • Anonymized aggregate counters. Numbers with no account attached, such as how many searches ran on a given day, stay in our operational metrics. They carry no link to you and cannot be traced back.
  • Promo code use. If you redeemed a promo code, the code's redemption count is not rolled back, so a single-use code cannot be handed out and used again. The redemption record itself goes with your account.

If you have a paid plan

Deleting your account cancels your subscription at Stripe at the same moment, so you are never billed again. We do not refund the unused part of a billing period; see the Terms of Service for the full policy.

If Stripe cannot be reached at that moment, we stop and delete nothing, and ask you to try again in a few minutes. We will not delete an account that is still being billed.
